Our Story
Working alongside families, schools, and community organizations during the
middle-school years, and drawing on more than 28 years of experience in
education, I began noticing a consistent pattern. Everyone cared deeply about
supporting young people. Yet the efforts across home, school, and community
were not always connected.
Academic expectations were increasing, and so were the emotional demands
placed on students. During this time, many families were searching for practical
guidance, often trying to make sense of changes that felt new or unexpected,
while schools were doing their best to support growing needs within real system
constraints.
Over time, it became clear that the challenge was not a lack of care or effort.
What was often missing was a shared structure
to support students more intentionally during these critical years.
Without shared structure, support can feel reactive instead of steady — and conversations can
become urgent instead of aligned.
That realization eventually led to the creation of Strategic Educational Solutions.
Strategic Educational Solutions was created to help strengthen shared understanding among
the adults guiding tweens — not by adding pressure, but by providing practical strategies,
thoughtful frameworks, and meaningful guidance for tweens and the adults who support them.
At its core, SES reflects a simple belief:
When the adults surrounding a young person work
from shared understanding, growth becomes more
sustainable.
This belief continues to guide my work and shapes how I support families, schools, and learning communities every day.
